Conservation and sustainable development along the Sava River Basin is extremely important in terms of the biological and landscape diversity characteristic of the area, as well as for the lives of the native people. In order to establish guidelines for developing future eco-tourism activities in the Sava River Basin countries, the Sava Commission, in cooperation with the Embassy of the United States, Croatia and the Regional Center of Environmental Protection launched the project to Develop Eco-tourism in the Sava River Basin.
