Sava Youth Parliament 2017

As part of the Sava Day (June 1st) celebration the ISRBC will organize the Youth Parliament from the Sava River Basin this year again. 

The 6th Youth Parliament will be held on June 2nd and June 3rd 2017 in Belgrade (RS). The parliament represents a platform which gathered 60 students and professors from 9 secondary schools from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the basis of the competition entitled "The Impact of Climate Change on the Life in the Sava River Basin" the secondary schools from Kiseljak and Visoko (BA), Zagreb (HR), Smederevska Palanka and Belgrade (RS) and Ljubljana (SI) have been selected.

The basic aim of such event is that the students recognize the sustainable management, exploitation and protection of water resources. They will participate in the discussion on the climate change impacts to the life in the Sava River Basin form which their vision on the selected issues will be recognized.

The youth parliament is organized by the International Sava River Commission which coordinates the efforts of all countries from the Sava River Basin regarding the preservation and development of the Sava River. The sponsors of the Parliament are UNDP from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Coca-Cola HBC from Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia as well as JVP Serbia vode from Belgrade (RS).
