The overall objective of the Shelter (Sustainable Historic Environments hoListic reconstruction through Technological Enhancement and community based Resilience) is to establish cross-scale, multidimensional, data driven and community based operational knowledge framework for heritage-led and conservation-friendly resilience enhancement and sustainable reconstruction of historic areas to cope with climate change and natural hazards. On 05 April 2023, the International Sava River Basin Commission (ISRBC) jointly with the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture for Europe and with support of other Shelter project partners held online the seventh Open Lab workshop. Back-to-back with the wokrshop, the 5th meeting of the ISRBC's Task Group for the follow-up of the Shelter project implementation was also held.

The main objective of the last Workshop with stakeholders of the Sava Open Lab was the presentation of results and lessons learned. Also, preparation of a joint statement of the Sava Open Lab towards the SHELTER Final Conference was discussed. Furthermore, all achieved objectives and the follow-up actions from previous workshops were also presented and discussed. 

This workshop and the Task Group meeting achieved to bring together about 40 representatives from the Sava River basin management authorities (Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia, as well as Albania) including experts from cultural heritage authorities, flood management operators and emergency responders as major stakeholders of the project, as well as Shelter project partners and guests.
