The fifteenth consecutive meeting of captains from the Sava River Basin was held in Višegrad, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.  Following the period of the Kovid-19 pandemic, captains, navigation safety inspectors, and other participants gathered again and confirmed the particular need for this type of meeting format. On this occasion, there was an exchange of experience in the work of the port master offices, navigation safety inspection, and the latest trends applied in the work in the domain of ship registers, i.e. classification societies for determining the ship's seaworthiness.

The general conclusion is that the practice of this type of professional gathering is not only beneficial but also necessary. We should continue to confirm the urgent need for restoration of the waterway and navigation in general, with the ultimate goal of valorizing the Sava River's economic potential.
