Stakeholders Involvement
Public participation is one of the core principles in sustainable water management as required by the Framework Agreement on the Sava River Basin (FASRB).
The FASRB Article 21 foresees “implementation and monitoring methodology will include timely provision of information to stakeholders and the general public by the authorities responsible for the implementation of the FASRB.”
The International Sava River Basin Commission (Sava Commission) focused on cooperation with the stakeholders with the transboundary and basin wide relevance, is dedicated to ensure and strongly encourage the stakeholders involvement through information sharing, public consultation, active stakeholders involvement. Besides Observers, specific modes of stakeholder engagement are Sava Youth Parliament and Sava Water Council.
