Water Contingency Management in the Sava River Basin - WACOM

Main accomplishments: 
  • A new propagation pollution model for Sava has been developed for forecasting water pollution in case of emergency
  • Upgrade of SavaGIS with the APC module
    • Visualization of pollution propagation considering online hydrological data
    • Establishment of platform to exchange information on area of management, facilities, pollution accident events, access to river, etc.  
  • Upgrade of Sava GIS with NAV module
    • ENC maps visualization
    • Album of bridges
  • Identification of Incident Command system (ICS) as suitable for the definition of the key transnational emergency processes
  • Development of WACOM toolbox for more efficient joint response in case of emergency
  • Development of the Strategy which includes measures for implementation of FASRB and its protocols
  • Communication between stakeholders during the implementation of the project
    • Newsletters, articles in publications, presentations, workshops, TTX, meetings, national and international events
    • Inclusion of the youth (Sava Youth Parliament)
